"We are often left feeling disheartened when attempting to secure funding and support for our Child Care services. Your wonderful gift reminded us how much some people really do care. When the kids meet with the corporate volunteers, they are exposed to a range of professions and learn that the world is bigger than Glebe and the housing estate that many of them live in, Thank you again to all involved, you have really made a difference."
Edwina, Glebe Child Care Centre
"We place great value on the support from United Way and it is no exaggeration to say your gifts have helped us to radically alter our focus"
Asthma Foundation of NSW
"Thanks to United Way needy and at risk children in Mt Druitt now have the chance of a brighter and more settled future. We have been able to link these children with an "aunt or uncle" and give them much needed stability and security. Thank you "
Bernadette Power, Aunties and Uncles Co-operative Family Project
“For Rainbow Club it is a breath of fresh air because we are a small organisation and don’t receive any government funding and so this money would otherwise have to be generated through auctions and fundraising events. We are now in a position to say ‘who else can we assist’ rather than panicking when more children seek our services”
Sue Green, Rainbow Club of Australia.
We are grateful to United Way because they provide us with vital resources funding services that are not eligible for government funding. Our crisis telephone service is critical to our clients. Without it we would be unable to connect with those people who really need us.
Tirrania-Blacktown, Alcohol and Other Drugs Family Services
“The funding support is vital but so too
are the volunteer teams who assist us to create a safer and more pleasant environment for our residents. Regardless of the intellectual and sensory impairment of our residents, they appreciate what is being done, whether it’s a freshly painted wall or the installation of a perfumed garden. They also enjoy the social interaction.”
Miriana Gazivoda, Forsight Foundation.
