The Northern Beaches Youth Community Fund (NBYCF) was established in 1996 and focuses on critical issues facing children and young people on the Northern Beaches. It operates as a sub committee of our Board.

Our 1999 Northern Beaches Code of Silence report highlighted the key issues facing our young people:

  • Youth suicide (Sydney's second highest after Kings Cross)
  • Lack of family support
  • Substance abuse
  • Lack of facilities
  • Learning difficulties
  • behavioural problems

With tremendous support from groups in this community we have channeled considerable resources to youth focused projects and annually raise funds to support agencies servicing these critical problems.

Aunties and Uncles Co-operative Family Project Aunties and Uncles Co-operative Family Project Limited - volunteer Aunts & Uncles provide mentoring & friendship support to children & families in stress and crisis situations.
